I am using Debian Sarge (from ISOs built on March 23rd). The problem I
face is that in almost all terminals - konsole, eterm as well as the
tty logins, some characters are garbled. For example, in mutt, the
characters used to draw lines in threaded messaged (which I suspect
are just `-' and `|'), are garbled. The parts of man pages in which
some option is explained also has some wrong characters in place of
`-'. Could you tell me as to where the problem could lie?

It might be worth mentioning that some changing the console font using
consolecharshas helped in the tty logins, but is has no effect in the
the tty logins, but it ahs no effect in the X shells. Also, xterm is
the only shell which works fine.

Thanks.

Kumar
