I would rather go with a motherboard that does PCI Express too(Esp. PCIe x16
rather than AGP 8x.)
The next generation graphics cards are all going to be geared towards PCIe
rather than AGP.
I saw one with on-board ATI graphics and PCIe for around Rs.5500 in
Bangalore.(think it was an MSI) Might be a good buy if you can get someone
using it to confirm on the quality of the new ATI linux drivers.

PS: Considering how "stretched to the limit" ;-) my current 2600+ is, it'll
be a year or two before I'd consider going in for a X2.
