Dont know your feedback about Ubuntu, but everything including wireless on my
R50e worked fine with Ubuntu Hoary and Badgy.... (Tried the live CDs)

And I actually run self compiled 2.6.14 in Debian Sarge with wireless
support. I am sure it will work fine with Debian default 2.6.8 with ipw2100
and related packages downloaded from sourceforge, although I am yet to test
it... will do soon.

Everything on my R50e worked like a charm with Debian Sarge (wireless was the
only problem here) and Ubuntu.

Cheers.
