To clarify some misunderstanding - the log is from the ADSL modem/router
and not my Linux box.  It runs on an embedded Linux (busybox) platform.

The userid/passwd are programmed into the modem and I have not changed
them.  PPPoE login fails when I do a "soft" reboot through a telnet
session v/s a power cycle which in most cases ends up in a successful
PPPoE login.
