Okay, this may not be exactly what you want but I guess a warning is in
order. I have a Sharp Zaurus SL 5500. It is an older model. The Zaurii are
natively built for linux.

I too wanted to have a better version on the zaurus, so I flashed it with
the latest OpenZaurus 3.5.4. Believe me, it was a major step backward. I
have had a tough time trying to get it working like it used to work with
the old Sharp rom.

With 3.5.3, I could atleast set up USB networking with my linux box. That
got trashed with 3.5.4rc. Lo and behold, when I flashed with 3.5.4, I lost
the use of the SD card.

I am seriously contemplating going back to the old Sharp rom or one of the
older OZ roms.

And before someone says it, yes, I have googled till I have tens of links
that I check frequently. The openzaurus-users list on sourcforge simply
refuses to let me in. I wrote to the list owner a fortnight ago asking him
to add me to the list but no go.

< end of rant > :)

so if you wanna mess w/ hardware that was not really made for linux... all
I can say is -- it's your brick :)

Best of luck.

Sharukh.
