I have 3 users and 8 partitions on my system. I want to set up one of the partitions as a common partition for all three users to Read, Write and Execute. This common partition will be a FAT for file transfer to and from the windows partition also. How do I set up the fstab so that this is done at boot-up ?
I proceeded like this - created a group as 'games' and made all the users members of this group. The above partition was mounted through fstab as 'rw,auto, uid=games, gid=games 0 0'. But this way, the users get the permission to Read only, not Write and Execute. Thanks in advance. -- --K.Ghosh 093 910 58 749 [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Debian GNU/Linux user No.301508 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
