i hv 2 ISPs, to avoid downtime. we have data transfer
activities as well as a few voip boxes. During the day
normally both the ISPs manage my data, during the
night the data transfer activity is less and voip is
used more, and is configured static routes.
unfortunately, when 1 of my isp's go down, i wish the
entire load to be shifted on to the other isp until
the 1st 1 comes up.
i was reading on interface bonding, but was not sure
if it would work for me. some1 suggested BGP. can u
pls comment on this?
With linux advanced routing and with Julian dead gateway detection patch to
linux kernel you can solve this problem.
