hi folks, I have successfully setup proftpd + mysql + proma, on my FC5. But still i m facing this 1 prob. When I create a user with encrypted password, and then try login into the ftp server, it says "login incorrect". I tried changing the password to plaintext, only then it allowed me.
in my proftpd.conf, my SQLAuthentication is Plaintext Crypt. somewhere in google i found i need to recompile using openssl, i did the same, and changed proftpd -> SQLAuthentication OpenSSL. even then it doesnt work. Can some1 pls assist me with this problem? how do i make proftpd read encrypted password? thanx in advance.
