What proxy?

Web-proxy, telnet-proxy, irc-proxy ...?

There are tools available for almost anuthing!

If you are talking about web-proxy, try Squid (squid.nlanr.net) or Apache
(www.apache.org)

The Apache config files are pretty informative (along with the manuals, if
need be). You need to uncomment the relevant lines to get the proxy
module running.

if you had any other thing in mind, do elaborate.
