FYI --- Am posting this as there are bound to be lots of sysadmins
on this list and this is the easiest way to contact them.
At least two servers (brain dead anon open relays running smi/svr4
btw) in India have been used to relay spam. Both landed on anti
spam blacklists (the MAPS RBL and ORBS respectively)
See attached on how to close most popular MTAs against 3rd party
relay. See http://maps.vix.com/tsi/ar-fix.html for more info on how
to close an open relay.
To see if you are open, telnet to mail-abuse.org from the box you
want tested or visit http://www.orbs.org
I recommend you all do this ASAP.
