Dear Mr Goswami,

It is better if you have two NICs in your Linux Proxy server so you can 
protect your network from intrusions. You could define your Linux box as a 
firewall. ( Pls look in the archives for Linux Firewall Info).

Any user in your network who wants to browse will come to first NIC card of 
Linux box, since you have enabled IP forwarding request will go to other 
card and then to router on way to ISP server. You could have standard 
192.168.x.x network no for your internal network. Assign the IP given by ISP 
to the Router.
