run linux in console mode. do rpm -i xsis.rpm.
run Xconfigurator or xf86config.. select card SiS86C205 and monitor of
yours.
Don't do Xprobe during this. 
This should craete XF86Config file.
 Now start editing /etc/X11/XF86Config file. In the device section add
line 
chipset "SiS86C205"
if it doesn't exist.
uncomment line for ram as per card ram.
cd to dir /usr/X11R6/bin.
del the file XF86_SVGA
do the following command
ln -s XFCom_SiS XF86_SVGA.
Now do startx.
