When you run a list of over 500 people - the user list interface takes
forever to load, thanks to lots of banners, tables etc etc. And forget
using Lynx :-( Too many cookies.

Another hassle - egroups headers seem to wake a demon in web
based mail providers like hotmail. Posts on egroups.com lists often
hit anti spam filters within hotmail and bounce. This is in addition to
the usual cause of hotmail bounces - a full mailbox.

Bounce handling is much better than majordomo afaict - there's a
separate page, in which you have the facility to reset individual
bouncing addresses / reset all addresses.

The hassle is when you are running high volume lists, a text based
command set like majordomo is always better than a web based
interface like egroups.

The local ILUGs are ~not~ high volume or high membership. If
OTOH Thaths moved LI to eGroups, we'd all go ape ASAP.
