Hi there,
Here are some things you could try !!

1. Cheops ( Good GUI and lot user friendly)
2. Scotty ( GUI and a leetle bit confusing )
3. Sniffit ( Console based and good for sniffing )
4. tcpdump ( I don't need to tell about this )
5. cold ( Check the archives for the location )
6. iptraf ( I use this one , console based )

All of these are available at http://rufus.w3.org ( except cold )
or you could do a search at freshmeat.net for them

Subject: [LI] network snooping software recommendations

Hello all

Any recommendations for network snooping software on Linux.
This is for a benevolent cause not a malevolent one :-). Want to trace
some IP packets going on the wire to a server from a client.

Thanks
sathya
