Hi All
I have RedHat 6.1 in my Pentium II, 8GB machine. It has got sound
card/ speaker
everything. How can I listen music from mp3/wav/midi files?
        I have midiplayer/sound mixer panel/mediaplayer everything
installed.
When I click on Sound mixer panel, it says " Could not open mixer ,
You have no permission"
even when I have given permission as root.
Should I need to install any drivers for speakers/sound card etc. I
can listen to music from CD player.
How can I listen music from files directly ?
For listening to mp3 files , shoul I need to install mp3 player? If
yes , Is that player is OS dependent?
I am totally new to the sound system installation in Linux.
Please help

Thanks in advance
