I think the problem is with your /etc/ppp/ttyS0 ( or your Port where modem
is connected ). It should contain
your_host : Your_Dialup_Ip
In my machine mgetty & pppd are working fine. Please give your following
details.
/AutoPPP/ -> line of /etc/mgetty+sendfax/login.config
/etc/ppp/options
/etc/ppp/pap-secrets
/etc/ppp/ttyS0 ( or your Port where modem is connected )
