Hi,
When u r trying to install a rpm package, if the dependent
libraries for that package is not found it will complain about that giving
a message to first install those packages. So first u have to find those
libraries and get it installed.
If a package is not present use rpm -ivh <package name>. If u r
not sure whether it is there/not try rpm -Uvh <package name> #it means
upgrade. If u want to know if it is there use rpm -q <package name> or u
can use gnorpm (a gui). Any way man rpm for more help.
