Hi,

But how can i make sure ? Actually whenever i lock and leave my m/c ideal for
sometime the screen becomes blank. This verifies that APM deamon is running. But
the problem occurs while i am working... even while i am typing something... Can
it be the case that even when the m/c remains ideal momentarily APM switches it
off. But then why does it comes back own its own without any intervension ?

Moreover if i do not lock my m/c and leave it ideal then the display is still
there i.e. it does not becomes blank.
What else i can check for

- Vikram

hi

Are u sure it isn't a power management problem . Check out the
BIOS settings or the APM
