It this is not the right forum for this question, then please forgive me.
I have a Toshiba Satellite 220CS and I'd like to use its IR i/f. It is a
toshiba U type FIR one. Under win98 it works. If I try its I/O ports from a
DOS window I can read 'reasonable' values, but from Linux or pure dos I can
read only ff-s.
So it seems somehow I have to enable it.
the laptop's BIOS setup program doesn't know about the IR i/f.
Does anyone know the solution ? I'd line to use it in SIR mode (communicate
with my mobile phone).
