If you upgrade 2.2.10 to toshoboe 1.9, (patches available from eg.
ftp://bullard.esc.cam.ac.uk/pub/irda/patch-2.2.10-toshoboe-1.9.gz )
then suspend resume will work. (See my previous 1.9 announce posting)
