Hi,

I'm trying one more time to get the hardware survey done right. This time
I'm using WML, so I have made templates which can be used to add
information about different devices and machines without doing much HTML at
all. If you want to have a peek at my new pages, then please visit:

        http://www.cs.uit.no/linux-irda/hardware.html

I'm sorry that the information you have sent me earlier has probably been
lost, so I hope you will consider sending me your setup one more time.

To make it a bit easier for me, you should try to use the Tecra 740CDT
entry as an example for what I want to know.

****
So please send me all the information you know about a machine that
successfully runs Linux-IrDA. Please mark the mail with [hardware] in the
subject line, so it's easy for me to pre-sort the mails:

Subject: [hardware] Toshiba Tecra-740CDT
****

Here is the tecra-740cdt.wml file I use to generate the page for this
machine. Simple!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
#include 'laptop-template.wml'

<model>
  Toshiba Tecra 740CDT
</model>

<features>
  166Mhz Pentium
  <p>
  13.3" TFT screen
</features>

<chipset>
  Sharp UIRCC
  <p>
  SIR, MIR and FIR (9600bps - 4Mbps)
  <p>
  ISA interface
  <p>
  SIR mode is UART 16550 compatible (/dev/ttyS2)
  <p>
  Base address=0x3e8, irq=11 (can be changed with Win95 device manager)
</chipset>

<driver>
#include 'irtty.wml'
  <p>
#include 'uircc.wml'
  <p>
</driver>

Linux-IrDA works very well in SIR mode for this laptop. But make sure IrDA
is enabled in the BIOS (not by default). Be careful in you want to upgrade
the BIOS if you machine is Linux only, since the program to enable the IrDA
port is Win95 only ;-) If you get stuck then please contact Linux-IrDA
member <a href="mailto:dagb at cs.uit.no">Dag Brattli</a> which has
successfully used this machine with Linux-IrDA.
-------------------------------------------------------

As you can see, you don't need to write in the actual driver(s)
information, since I'm trying to reuse it for all machines using the same
driver. If you however have some additional information, then please send
it over.

Thanks!
