ihave am similar task. I must develop a IRDA link from a
portable measurement instrument (for the building material industry)
to any palm- or laptop computer. I know there is a C library on the
market
for microcontrollers, but the (basic) price is more than 10000$.
I also thought about, doing this job by integrating a x86 based
controller modul, with embedded linux amd Linux-Irda in my system. Maybe
there are some
other guys out there who have similar problems, or better similar
solutions (;-)
We are a very small company, so we can pay some $ for this.
Ore has anybody developed a piece of hard- and software with rs232 data
in and IrDa / obex out ?
