Hi,
I am currently trying to let a Toshiba 3010 and a Siemens S 25
talk to each other, using the toshoboe driver on the 3010. It
was actually working once for a minute or so (the S 25 was
accepting, and correctly replying to, AT commands).
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this state. The toshoboe Module
(compiled from the 2.2.12 kernel sources) seems to load correctly:
Oct 16 23:10:19 aphrodite kernel: ToshOboe: Found 701 chip at 0xffc0 irq 11
Oct 16 23:10:19 aphrodite kernel: ToshOboe: seting baud to 9600
Oct 16 23:10:19 aphrodite kernel: IrDA: Registered device irda0
Oct 16 23:10:19 aphrodite kernel: ToshOboe: Using single tasks, version $Id:
toshoboe.c,v 1.5 1999/05/12 12:24:39 root Exp root $
setserial -a /dev/irnine says:
/dev/irnine, Line 0, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x0000, IRQ: 0
Baud_base: 0, close_delay: 50, divisor: 0
closing_wait: 1000, closing_wait2: infinte
Flags: spd_normal
I tried to play with these settings, too, to no avail.
Whenever setserial /dev/irnine is called, the following appears
in the logs:
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: irvtd_open():irnine0 count 1
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_open_instance():
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_next_state: NEXT STATE=0(IDLE),
servicetype=(0)
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: irias_add_octseq_attrib()
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: irias_add_octseq_attrib: name=Parameters
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: irias_add_octseq_attrib: len=6
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_next_state: NEXT STATE=1(DISCOVERY_WAIT),
servicetype=(2)
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: irvtd_close():irnine0 count 1
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_disconnect_request()
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_next_state: NEXT STATE=0(IDLE),
servicetype=(2)
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: queryias_done():
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_disconnect_request()
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_state_idle():unknown event
=8(IRCOMM_DISCONNECT_REQUEST)
Oct 16 23:10:47 aphrodite kernel: ircomm_close_instance()
The display on the S 25 indicates "ready for IrDA", but, except for the
very short event mentioned above, no successful connection.
Any ideas?
Timo
