Hi there,
I'm using 2.2.13 and 2.2.13-irda3 and I have started to get some
problems.
I have a Toshiba Portege 3020 laptop and it used to work well (2.2.12
and 2.2.12-irda3)
with the toshoboe driver.
Now I start by doing insmod irda, insmod toshoboe, ifconfig irda0 up.
...and when I try to connect to my sh888 it succeeds to init IrCOMM and
set the baud to 9600
but then I start to get a lot of repeated messages like:
ToshOboe: seting baud to 115200
last message repeated 277 times
irda_device_is_receiving(), do_ioctl not impl. by device driver
ToshOboe: seting baud to 115200
last message repeated 137 times
irda_device_is_receiving(), do_ioctl not impl. by device driver
irda_device_is_receiving(), do_ioctl not impl. by device driver
ToshOboe: seting baud to 115200
last message repeated 67 times
irda_device_is_receiving(), do_ioctl not impl. by device driver
etc etc etc, forever...
It still sort of works, I can connect to my sh888, but after a while
either my
machine locks up or the irda driver seems to stop working (I can't
reconnect the sh888 and the log messages stops).
It has actually only locked up once but it's a shocking experience when
you
are running Linux :-)
btw, I also have a JetEye PC (esi) that works without any problems but I
would prefer to
use the builtin port...
regards
/Jan
