Hi,

I'm sorry to say that the release of Py(thon)OBEX has been delayed again
:-( We are working very hard, but there are a lot of things to fix.
Especially with the GUI. We want to be sure that we release a product that
is so good, that we will not get our mailbox full on complaints the first
day ;-) The release has now been rescheduled for monday.

Current status:

o PUT support for both client and server, multiple PUT is also possible

o GET support for both client and server

o SETPATH support. Possible to go a GET from any dir inside the obex-inbox

o Authentication by both client and server. Not possible to use from the
  GUI yet.

o IrDA and TCP/IP support

o Multiple concurrent client sessions possible

o Drag'n drop from GNOME file manager

o Received files are sent to viewer application based on mime-type or file
  extension (GNOME mime handling)

o Flexible URL style target specification (where to put, or get from)
     - irda://:OBEX # any host listening on the OBEX service using irda
     - tcp://localhost:9999/telecom/devinfo.txt # This one you can figure out

o Compliant with Palm III, Nokia NM-207, Win95 (QuickBeam), HP CapShare 920

Todo:

o Find the last bugs ;-)

o Win32 support!

o Directory browsing

o Command line client
