Yes this is a nice file but it is incorrect.
Page 152 gives a dial example with the SH888
ATD0705865975
This does not work. A  ; (semicolon) is required after the
number to cause  a dialling action but the software built
into the Ericsson SH888 then dials and switches the phone
back to voice mode. It is therefore impossible to 
use the SH888 as a straightforward modem. I fail to see the
necessity for this software block.   
As a result, the rest of the information in page 152 of the 
888 AT Online Reference Manual   is incorrect. See also page
89 of the manual.
On the other hand the older GS18 from Ericsson does work as a
straightforward Hayes Type modem. I cannot understand why
Ericsson did not retain the older functionality in the 888.
