Hi Thomas,

I promised to tell you how I got on with connecting my SH888:

   * I tried to use the 2.2.13 kernel with patch 2.2.13-irda23. Watever I did, I
always got unresolved symbols in uircc.o, irlpt_server.o, irlpt_client.o,
     irlpt.o and ircomm_tty.o, so I gave up.
   * After installing Red Hat 6.1, I found that the 2.2.12-20 kernel allowed me to
use the /dev/irnine device using ircomm_tty.o. So I used that with irda-tools
0.9.4, and it seems to work.
   * Maybe I will come back to this after I while.

I think I will stick with regular releases, not development releases though.

Many warm regards to you and all on the mailing list.
