Dag,

I tried the new smc-ircc driver of the 2.2.14-irda1, but I cannot get it to
work at FIR speed. However, it's working fine at SIR speed.

Since I'm using IRComm to test the driver, I saw also some improvements in
the recovery of the handshake, that was broken in 2.2.13-irda9 (come back
to 9600bps sucessfull).

If I try to initiate a connection at 4Mbps or MIR speed, the Linux box will
acknoledge it, but according to the log files, the smc-ircc code will never
be reached.

It looks like the irport module never calls ircc_change_speed (or smthing
like that), which will install the high speed call backs.
Modifying the irport module is quite obscure, and the quick fix I tried to
call ircc_change_speed was not successful.

I know smc-ircc is the only module to use irport and the call backs, and
I'm wondering where is the problem, in smc-ircc or irport..
Do you have any idea ?

Stephane
