I am using 2.2.14 plus the patch-2.2.14-irda1 on a RedHat 6.1 system and I am for the hell appear not to be able to load the irda sockets properly. I always get a segfault using irdadump. The following are my messages from loading the drivers: Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irmanager: executing: '/sbin/modprobe irda' Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis kernel: IrDA (tm) Protocols for Linux-2.2 (Dag Brattli) Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irmanager: executing: 'echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/irda/discovery' Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irmanager: executing: 'echo anubis > /proc/sys/net/irda/devname' Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irda: irmanager startup succeeded Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irmanager: + 1.1 Tue Nov 9 15:30:55 1999 Dag Brattli Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irattach: this is a fir device Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irattach: executing: '/sbin/modprobe irda0' Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irmanager: + 1.1 Tue Nov 9 15:30:55 1999 Dag Brattli Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis kernel: ToshOboe: Found 701 chip at 0xff80 irq 11 Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis kernel: IrDA: Registered device irda0 Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis kernel: ToshOboe: Using single tasks, version $Id: toshoboe.c,v 1.91 1999/06/29 14:21:06 root Exp $ Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irattach: this is a fir device Jan 22 23:00:49 anubis irattach: Starting device!
