I've been trying to figure out from the Linux-IrDA Webpages, Ir-HOWTO and the LIRC pages what the current status of support for remote controls under Linux is, but I'm still confused. I understand that LIRC uses homebrew hardware and a few commercial, non-IRDA hardware components. I further notice that the Winbond 83877, which happens to be on my board, does not only speak IrDA but also RC5 and other remote control protocols and I read somewhere that a simple driver was under development, though that note was rather old. So I ask: what's the current status of Remote Control support under Linux as far as IrDA is concerned? (Or: is/will be there any through the IrDA Project?) --- Pieter Hollants _______________________________________________ Linux-IrDA mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www4.pasta.cs.UiT.No/mailman/listinfo/linux-irda
