What is the excact output of findchip -v? Can you also do "echo 2 > /proc/sys/net/irda/debug" and sent me the dmesg output when you try to insert the nsc-ircc module. > It seems it works in SIR, (although I haven't yet figured out how to use > irlan with sir, is this possible ? - I mean, appart from using ppp). Yes you can use SIR, but since the chip doesn't detect OK for you, then you can try to use "irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s" instead. PPP is used over IrCOMM.
