Which version of IrDA is currently recommended?
I'm attempting to use an SH-888 with a Dell Inspiron 7000. I got this
working ages ago but when I upgraded to RedHat 6.1 I've had no joy with
the supplied IrDA (2.2.12-20 kernel).
I've tried using 2.2.15pre6 (that is patching with the ftp.kernel.org
patch) and utils 0.9.10. Discovery seems to work (cat'ing the discovery
file) but attempts to use IrCOMM result first in 'cu' (which I use for
testing) complaining about a write error then a kernel panic with stuff
scrolling far too fast to see :-(
