Hi All,

I've got irDA working with the esi kernel module for the Jeteye...
I've also successfully got my HP Jornada to connect to my box using
ircomm, ppp and chat which lets me ping the network etc.

What I would now like to do is patch my kernel 2.2.14-5 to enable
support for the new 'dev' entries and to try and use irOBEX support to
recieve a vCard for my Nokia phone. I've read all the HOWTO and searched
around on the web and it seems you should just download the patch and
recompile the kernel/kernel modules.

When I apply the patch (patch-2.2.14-irda1) I get no error
messages but when I come to compile it bombs out on building irport.o ??

This is the first time I've patched my kernel am I doing it right ?

cd /usr/src/linux
patch -p1 -l < ./patch-2_2.14-irda1

If 'yes' then why doesn't the kernel recompile is it a broken patch ??
Am I using the wrong one ???

Any help would be great ...

Cheers,

Michael
