I intend to add IRDA to my old laptop, to be used with linux and the IRTTY driver. Do I understand the IRDA specs correctly if I assume all I have to do is emit a light pulse for every "0" bit and a "0" bit for every received light pulse? I'm thinking of doing it with a PIC microcontroller so I can auto-detect the bitrate.
