Excuse the dumb questions, but I have an IBM380XD on which findchip
reports an  NSC PD87388 at 0x2e DevID 0x0b. The IR port is embedded in
one side of the machine. Are you calling this a "dongle?" Is the DevID
the dongle ID?
I always thought of a dongle as a klutzy plugin device.

Further, has anyone figured out how to switch the serial port from RS232
to IR without going back to Windoze?
