Hi all Linux-IrDA users,
Dear Dag Brattly,
Both 1999 and 2000 summer our Analog and Communications
Laboratory sustained 2+3=5 final graduated projects based
on Linux, IrDA and Linux-IrDA. Past few days teachers
at presentation where amased by infrared communications
between 2 Linux stations (using ActiSys IR-210L dongles).
Projects started from echo service implementation from
irda-utils-0.9.10 and kernel was 2.2.14 (vanilla distro RH-6.1).
OK, what to do with this great experience obtained? Or
with about 500 pages? How can we help? I mean "we" because
I and Florin Zagan start thinking to make a site for
developing infrared communications based on IrDA. There are
many things to say, but can afford to abuse your patinence.
Our ideas is first to start puting our info
in Romanian (from final projects), making manual
pages for irda-utils utilities (if you accept Dag)
and improve LyX docs (again Dag, if you want).
We have a long plan and hope to finish it.
P.S. We want to publish on-line IrDA specs in romanian.
According to your experinence with IrDA org., can be
trouble? How can obtain permission? We don't want to
make any money from this project.
