I finally managed to create /dev/irda using an old load_misc from an earlier
tarball. Maybe that old script has something to do with the problems i'm
having now. I've tried loading the irlan module with options both access=1
and access=2 with no luck. I have gotten the network interface irda0 to show
up in ifconfig with Link encap IRLAP, and the Recv/Sent packets numbers
reflect data being transferred. Also, the Win95 machine is running v2.0 of
the IR drivers, and when I go to the infrared control panel, it sees the
linux box as being in range. I've already added the IRDA network interface
to the win95 network configuration and worked with the IP numbers, but it
doesn't seem to recognize the Linux box as an IR LAN access point. It only
sees it in the infrared monitor as a valid device in range. Under ifconfig
on the linux machine, is it supposed to say NOARP? I noticed that it's not
in broadcast mode. Any help would be great.
