Does anyone have FIR working on the 2.4 kernels?
I can get SIR connections with irtty, and with irport using the patch I
posted before.
But when I try FIR [using smc-ircc] I get the following sequence of
messages:
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_net_open
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 9600
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_change_speed
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_change_speed(), using irport to change speed to
9600
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 4000000
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_change_speed
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_change_speed(), handling baud of 4000000
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: irport_change_speed_complete()
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: irlmp_state_setup() WATCHDOG TIMEOUT!
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 9600
Jul 31 13:40:10 monica kernel: ircc_change_speed
......
And I can't make a connection even after it drops to 9600.. it just gives
more timeout errors.
Is there a way to force the MIR modes? [576000 and 1152000]
Does anyone know if the error is in the smc-ircc driver, the irport
driver, the irda layer, the network layer, or what?
Any help would be appreciated,
Vince
