        I would like to point your attention on the fix I did in
irtty.c. The definition net_device->name has change from char * to
char[IFNAMSIZ] in 2.3.99. The end result is that the code in each low
level driver is wrong.
        The behaviour is that the resulting device is always called
"irda" instead of "irda0", irda1, ... Really annoying if you have
multiple link layers.
        In my patch, I've fixed only irtty, but clearly all the low
level IrDA drivers should be fixed (irmod, smc, nsc...).

        I plan to test your patch later (even though I've tested my
part intensely). The patches from Russel look promising. I've got a
demo tommorow, so I don't want to screw up my laptop today...
