Hey there, I'm having some problems making an IrCOMM connection between my Palm IIIxe and my Toshiba Libretto. I can hotsync fine between the two of them using IrCOMM, but when I try to get a connection through a program I wrote on the Palm, I keep getting "No such class" for the IrCOMM connection. I'm trying to get the Palm to talk to the Libretto which would be running a serial-oriented program over /dev/ircomm0. I've got this server to work with a terminal program on the Palm side, now I just need to get it to work with my client program on the Palm. Is there a way in SDK 3.5 to get the Serial Manager to use the IR port instead of the regular cabled serial port? Here's a comparison of IRDA dumps: Using IrCOMM to install my program onto my Palm using pilot-xfer: 17:05:46.800142 xid:rsp e7f7c003 > 90608a2a S=6 s=3 chameleon hint=8404 [ Computer IrCOMM ] (26) 17:05:46.880067 xid:cmd ffffffff < 90608a2a S=6 s=4 (14) 17:05:46.970059 xid:cmd ffffffff < 90608a2a S=6 s=5 (14) 17:05:47.070061 xid:cmd ffffffff < 90608a2a S=6 s=* IrCOMM hint=8204 [ PDA/Palmtop IrCOMM ] (23) 17:05:47.120062 snrm:cmd ca=fe pf=1 e7f7c003 <90608a2a new-ca=a6 (32) 17:05:47.120299 ua:rsp ca=a6 pf=1 e7f7c003 > 90608a2a (31) 17:05:47.690072 rr:cmd < ca=a6 pf=1 nr=0 (2) 17:05:47.690140 rr:rsp > ca=a6 pf=1 nr=0 (2) 17:05:47.710071 i:cmd < ca=a6 pf=1 nr=0 ns=0 LM slsap=01 dlsap=00 CONN_CMD (6) 17:05:47.710288 i:rsp > ca=a6 pf=1 nr=1 ns=0 LM slsap=00 dlsap=01 CONN_RSP (6) 17:05:47.730100 i:cmd < ca=a6 pf=1 nr=1 ns=1 LM slsap=01 dlsap=00 GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: "IrDA:IrCOMM" "IrDA:TinyTP:LsapSel" (37) 17:05:47.730268 i:rsp > ca=a6 pf=1 nr=2 ns=1 LM slsap=00 dlsap=01 GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: Success Integer: 19 (15) Using my program to try to establish an IrCOMM connection from the Palm to the Libretto: 19:52:47.370068 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=0 (14) 19:52:47.500061 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=1 (14) 19:52:47.590064 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=2 (14) 19:52:47.680061 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=3 (14) 19:52:47.680150 xid:rsp e7f7c003 > 6127ce3a S=6 s=3 chameleon hint=0400 [ Computer ] (25) 19:52:47.770473 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=4 (14) 19:52:47.790065 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=5 (14) 19:52:47.900062 xid:cmd ffffffff < 6127ce3a S=6 s=* ^FGEOR hint=0300 [ PnP PDA/Palmtop ] (21) 19:52:47.980063 snrm:cmd ca=fe pf=1 e7f7c003 < 6127ce3a new-ca=80 (32) 19:52:47.980313 ua:rsp ca=80 pf=1 e7f7c003 > 6127ce3a (31) 19:52:48.320117 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=0 (14) 19:52:48.410084 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=1 (14) 19:52:48.500086 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=2 (14) 19:52:48.590087 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=3 (14) 19:52:48.680086 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=4 (14) 19:52:48.770080 xid:cmd 0d2d3f9b > ffffffff S=6 s=5 (14) 19:52:48.770239 rr:cmd < ca=80 pf=1 nr=0 (2) 19:52:48.770298 rr:rsp > ca=80 pf=1 nr=0 (2) 19:52:48.790079 i:cmd < ca=80 pf=1 nr=0 ns=0 LM slsap=01 dlsap=00 CONN_CMD (6) 19:52:48.790314 i:rsp > ca=80 pf=1 nr=1 ns=0 LM slsap=00 dlsap=01 CONN_RSP (6) 19:52:48.810129 i:cmd < ca=80 pf=1 nr=1 ns=1 LM slsap=01 dlsap=00 GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: "IrDA:IrCOMM" "IrDA:TinyTP:LsapSel" (38) 19:52:48.810303 i:rsp > ca=80 pf=1 nr=2 ns=1 LM slsap=00 dlsap=01 GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: No such class (11) Thanks, 'dillo _______________________________________________ Linux-IrDA mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.pasta.cs.UiT.No/mailman/listinfo/linux-irda
