It appears to get further then before now.

IrDA initialises, and /proc/net/irda/* exists.

Discovery does not appear to work however. irdadump reveals no packets
being sent or received (with my visor trying to beam at the laptop).

I killed irattach and restarted it manualy (irattach irda0 -s both
times), reastarting it locked up the machine hard (cursor stopped
moving in x, ethernet stopped responding to pings).

I'm staying with test10 for now (sigh).
