Hi all,

I sent this message last week, but it seems to be lost.

I'm now configuring the IrDA on my Assabet board, I compiled the kernel
(2.4.0-test10-rmk2-np2) with the following config:

CONFIG_IRDA=y
CONFIG_IRLAN=m
CONFIG_IRCOMM=y
# CONFIG_IRDA_ULTRA is not set
CONFIG_IRDA_OPTIONS=y
# CONFIG_IRDA_CACHE_LAST_LSAP is not set
CONFIG_IRDA_FAST_RR=y

and then installed irda-utils(irattach /dev/ttyS2 in/etc/irda/drivers).

After boot, I run "irmanager -d 1", it prints:

IrDA: Registered device irda

I dont know what this message mean, but the IrDA seems to work because
it can discover my Nokia 8210:

>cat /proc/net/irda/discovery
nickname: Nokia 8210, hint: 0xb125, saddr: 0x162ccf47, daddr: 0xea140000
but when I run "irdaping 0xea140000", it shows:
socket: Address family not supported by protocol
Why? Can anybody help me?

BTW, there are some problems when I configure the whole IrDA stack as
modules(CONFIG_IRDA=m):

af_irda.o: In function `init_module':
af_irda.o(.text+0x20a8): multiple definition of `init_module'

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Yang Xiaopeng
