Agreed!
Worse yet, the pcmcia-cs package from Dave Hinds checks for the
existance of /etc/rc.d/init.d to determine how to install. irda-utils
creates that directory silently. So when I update irda-utils I have to
remember to fix things up or my next update of pcmcia-cs will be screwed
up.
There is a note on sourceforge that says there is a new irda-utils, but
I can't find it.
