"ping -f" ? Ouch, you are asking for troubles...
I'm currently busy, and I don't have an obvious answer,
because there are many places where things can go wrong (and IrNET is
not the most likely). As regular TCP is ok, it's not the end of the
world...
So, for now, it's "don't do that" (or fix it yourself), but
I'll try to get back to it...
