hello,
i'm having some problems with the irda stuff, primarily with irttp and
the irsock interface (or so it seems), and some other odd issues
besides.
for one, the debugging code doesn't seem to work right. i'm not sure
what level to put it at, but there should be some pretty detailed
information on level 4, right? i'm not getting anything, and what i am
getting is a little... ummm... skewed (see below)?
second, i'm trying to connect a pc to a laptop using irttp and the
irsock interface. this is the ias of the computer acting as the server.
so, the server does exist, and i can query the lsapsel from the client,
but it always fails to connect. I always get EADDRNOTAVAIL (even though
an actual query for that entry will succeed).
both computers are running the same linux kernel: test11-pre5, and both
using esi dongles. i've reversed the client/server roles of the two
machines with the same result. an ias query for the specific lsap will
succeed, but the connection fails.
LM-IAS Objects:
name: TestServer, id=9755837
- Attribute name: "IrDA:TinyTP:LsapSel", value[IAS_INTEGER]: 0
name: Device, id=0
- Attribute name: "IrLMPSupport", value[IAS_OCT_SEQ]: octet sequence
- Attribute name: "DeviceName", value[IAS_STRING]: "My Server"
looking at the message log (or what i could get from the log), i found
this:
nighttrain kernel: >irda_poll()
Dec 21 12:30:57 nighttrain kernel: l()
Dec 21 12:30:58 nighttrain kernel: l()
Dec 21 12:30:58 nighttrain kernel: Assertion failed! skb->len >=
TTP_HEADER,irtt
i imagine that failing an assertion on the connection would cause the
connection to fail, but why would the ttp header size be too large? does
anybody know what might be going on? i'm a serious loss...
any help is greatly appreciated,
thanks
