Just in case you missed it, my banshee page[1] includes some information on automounting. Also, keep an eye out for kernel 2.6.19 when it comes out about a month from now, as it has a patch to make the eject command work, and fixes the annoying plug-in-and-nothing-happens bug. Good luck!
