Hi Ben,

Thanks for considering to package libkarma!

Right now I have no plans to try and get OMFS into the kernel, primarily
because I don't have the time to complete it and get it through a review.
However, you are welcome to package omfs as a separate package (this was
done for debian).

This may as well be a good time to announce another side-project that I
was playing with a month or so ago: I made a read-only driver for OMFS
using FUSE at:

    http://bobcopeland.com/karma/releases/fuseomfs-0.0.1.tar.gz.

I mostly did this for testing purposes and to support someone who wanted
to use OMFS with a ReplayTV.  I can't promise that I'll get around to 
fleshing it out more fully, but supposing I do, this could provide a 
long term answer to the problem.

It won't be as high-performance as the kernel driver since the kernel
implements various caches for us, but it won't be horrible.
