Krzysztof Kozlowski sent a similar patch last week. See http://www.spinics.net/lists/kernel/msg2268572.html This prompted a discussion, which resulted in agreement of me resending the original patch. Since it was so long ago I don't want to call this a "RESEND", but that is technically accurate.
