I have cherry-picked that commit into both 3.18.y and 4.4.y (it applies cleanly) and tested them on my machine. Both worked correctly. Test method: - Added printks to the functions that detect noxsave, noxsaves and noxsaveopt - Booted both kernels with and without the commit, and adding the kernel parameter "noxsave" - Checked that "noxsaves" and "noxsaveopt" do not appear on dmesg anymore after the commit.
