That'll cut your spam load by at least 90%. I used to receive all email to my domain, no matter what email address it was sent to. I used to get a ton of junk. Once I disabled the "global" function, my spam load dropped tremendously. Also, tweak your spam-assassin settings. I have mine set to block anything with a spam level >1 and I almost never get false-positives.
